DALLAS DHU HERITAGE CENTRE PICTURES
Dallas Dhu was a highly regarded distillery at its time, but sadly enough was closed down in 1983. Historic Environment Scotland however took up the distillery and set it up as a museum. Although there is no whisky produced anymore, in general the equipment is still around and set up as a historic view of Scotland.
It is a nice way to see what happens in a distillery, although in my view it doesn’t beat visiting a working facility. It is commendable though that Historic Environment Scotland took this up in their program next to all the castles and other features of the Scottish historic environment.
