GLEN ORD DISTILLERY VISIT 2008

When you visit Glen Ord the first thing that you will see are the maltings. A huge building as is normal with Saladin Box maltings rises up along the road. After a close look at these buildings you travel on along the road and drive up to the distillery. The front of the still house has huge windows which give you a view on the stills.

The tour through the distillery is decent. I learned from this visit that the Glen Ord malt as we know it now will phase out, instead there will be a Singleton of Ord taking its place. This whisky has a higher amount of sherry cask matured whiskies and is a very nice dram.
