GLEN SCOTIA DISTILLERY 2014

When in Campbeltown, you visit Springbank. But of course, you also walk along “the other” distillery. Not as well known, but when you are around you have to take a look at the Glen Scotia distillery.

GLEN SCOTIA DISTILLERY VISIT 2005

When you are in Campbeltown,, you want to see the “other” distillery in this town, that once was the whisky capital of the world.

In the middle of Campbeltown, the Glen Scotia is situated right across a flat. When I was walking around the distillery to make some pictures of the distillery, one of the employees of the distillery went into the office. When he came back out he asked me if I was interested, to have a quick look inside. Of course, I accepted the offer. What I found was a distillery that was clearly not set to receive visitors. Nevertheless, I was very happy that I was able to have a look around and shoot a few pictures, for which I am grateful to the gentleman that let me in.
